Minoxidil NET is an over-the-counter medicine used to treat hereditary hair loss in men and women over 18 years of age. For men, Minoxidil Net can also be used to reduce further hair loss. Minoxidil Net contains the active substance minoxidil, which stimulates hair regrowth in cases of thinning hair. The treatment can be performed in early and less visible forms of hereditary hair loss or thinning hair on the scalp. Women: Minoxidil Net is used to treat hair loss or thinning hair on the scalp. The exact mechanism of action of minoxidil is not fully known. About 3 out of 5 women get new hair growth to varying degrees. Men: Minoxidil Net is used to treat hair loss or thinning of the scalp. The exact mechanism of action of minoxidil is not fully known. Younger people who have lost hair for a shorter period or have smaller skin areas where the hair has become thinner are best suited to benefit from treatment with Minoxidil Net. In about 4 out of 5 men, hair loss is slowed down and the majority of people who use Minoxidil Net also experience some form of hair regrowth. The effect of the treatment can be expected after 2-4 months, in some cases a shorter or longer time. If the treatment is interrupted, the effect stops within 3 to 4 months and the hair loss returns. In order not to affect the effect of Minoxidil Net, a silicone-free shampoo should be used when washing hair (silicone can also be called dimethicone).
