100% organic low-caffeine hojicha from Japan of the highest quality whole sencha and bancha leaves that have been picked, cleaned, steamed and dried by hand and then roasted at a high temperature. Stone-ground tea with a beautiful brown color and a smoky, nutty taste with umami. Fits perfectly as usucha (thin tea) as a latte, in ice cream or baked goods. In Japan, you often eat sesame cakes or umeboshi plums for Hoijcha after eating. Same effect as traditional matcha, but with lower caffeine content.
