Voltaren gel contains the active substance diclofenac, which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Voltaren gel is an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory gel used for mild to moderate pain associated with muscle and joint injuries, such as sports injuries, sprains, knee and hip pain. Voltaren gel is intended for external use only and provides a local anti-inflammatory pain relief directly on the pain area, without treating the entire body.
Voltaren gel 23.2 mg/g is a dual-strength gel that provides pain relief for up to 12 hours.

The active substance is diclofenacdiethylamine. 1 gram of gel contains 23.2 mg (2.32%) of diclofenac diethylamine, which is equivalent to 20 mg of diclofenac sodium.
The other ingredients are: butylhydroxytoluene (0.2 mg/ml), carbomers, cocoyl caprylocate, diethylamine, isopropyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, macrogolceteaste celery, oleyl alcohol, propylene glycol (50 mg/ml), eucalyptus perfume and purified water.
