Chromium is a mineral that contributes to establishing normal blood sugar levels and normal metabolism of macronutrients in our body. In other words, feelings of hunger decrease and glucose and fat burning increases. If we eat very fast carbohydrates, drink too much coffee and alcohol, the body is depleted of chromium. If there is not enough chromium in the body, there is a risk that the blood sugar will become unstable and the metabolism will drop. It can show itself in the form of energy dips, mood swings and concentration difficulties.
