Nicorette chewing gum contains nicotine and is used as an aid when you want to quit smoking or start reducing the number of smoking sessions. They have a clinically proven effect to relieve cravings.
When you quit smoking and your body no longer has access to nicotine via tobacco, so-called withdrawal symptoms often occur. You may experience difficulty sleeping, irritability, and the urge to smoke, among other things. When withdrawal occurs, replace the cigarette with a Nicorette nicotine gum. The nicotine in the chewing gum is released slowly into the oral cavity and the effect occurs within a few minutes. The urge to smoke decreases and the withdrawal symptoms are alleviated.
The strength of Nicorette chewing gum should be chosen depending on how severe your nicotine addiction is. Nicorette 2 mg is recommended if you have smoked less than 20 cigarettes per day and can also be combined with Nicorette transdermal patch. The treatment time is individual but normally lasts for at least 3 months in the event of smoking cessation.
