Melatonin Orion Pharma is an over-the-counter drug used in the short-term treatment of jet lag in adults aged 18 and over. Jet lag refers to the symptoms, such as sleep problems, caused by the time difference when travelling across several time zones, in an easterly or westerly direction.
Melatonin Orion Pharma contains the active ingredient melatonin which belongs to a group of natural hormones produced by the body. Melatonin helps regulate the body's day and night rhythm.
Melatonin Orion Pharma is recommended for adults flying across at least 5 time zones, especially in an easterly direction, and especially those who have experienced symptoms of jet lag in connection with previous travel. The maximum daily dose is 5 mg. The maximum processing time is 4 days.
Should not be used during pregnancy and lactation. Women of childbearing potential should use contraception during treatment.
The active substance is melatonin. One 5 mg tablet contains 5 mg of melatonin.
The other ingredients are: Magnesium stearate (E470b), colloidal anhydrous silica (E551), microcrystalline cellulose (E460), croscarmellose sodium (E468)
