XyliMelts are tablets with a mild mint flavor and are used for dry mouth. The tablets contain xylitol and help stimulate saliva production and increase the moisture in the mouth. XyliMelts® are primarily designed for use at night, to reduce the sleep disturbances that can occur due to dry mouth, but you can also take them during the day, when you feel dry in the mouth. The tablet is "attached" between the gums and the cheek and the xylitol is then released for up to 4-6 hours when you sleep and 1-4 hours if you use it during the day.
