Emla is a patch for local anesthesia of certain skin areas. For example, before needle sticks or minor interventions in the skin. The patch contains two active substances and works by numbing the skin for a short time. This reduces the pain but you can still feel pressure and touch. Emla plasters can be attached to both adults, children and infants.
