Hydrocortisone Evolan is a mild ointment that contains 1% hydrocortisone and is used to treat mild eczema. Some characteristics of mild eczema are that the skin becomes red, dry and itchy. Eczema is due to an inflammation of the skin and the causes of its occurrence can vary. It could be because you reacted to a soap, cleaning agent, nickel or cosmetics but also after being in the sun or getting an insect bite. The itching from eczema can be bothersome and it is usually difficult not to itch. Trimb hydrocortisone ointment works by inhibiting the inflammation in the skin and calming the itching. An ointment is fatter than a cream and is suitable for dry to very dry eczema. Hydrocortisone Evolan can be used from the age of 2 and up.
