Description
Mepiform provides a local treatment of old and new keloids and hypertrophic scars. The dressing is self-adhesive and treated with silicone, which has been shown to have a positive effect on scarring. The treatment time depends on the condition of the scar tissue and can vary from 3 months to a year to improve the appearance of old scars. For optimal results, Mepiform should be worn around the clock, but removed once a day to clean and inspect the skin. To act preventively, the dressing must be used for 2-6 months.
