Hydrocoll is a self-adhesive, absorbent hydrocolloid dressing with a semi-permeable surface that is impervious to bacteria. The hydrocolloid forms a gel when it comes into contact with wound fluid, which creates a moist wound environment that stimulates wound healing and the formation of new skin.
